Orders leave our greenhouse in Easley, South Carolina. This is not a warehouse, and plants do not go out seven days a week. We typically process an order in 4–6 business days. Weather and peak volume can stretch that. Processing is the time we need to pick, inspect, and pack. Transit is the time the carrier has the box. Those are two different clocks.

We ship Monday through Wednesday so plants are not sitting in a depot all weekend. If you check out Thursday night, do not expect a Friday box.

Our default for collector plants is UPS 2-Day Air. We also ship USPS Priority and FedEx. Prefer a different carrier? Call 864-252-1939 and we will quote it.

Optional protection at checkout: insulation +$5, or insulation with a heat or cold pack +$9. The $9 add-on is insulation plus a temperature pack, not a pack by itself. Pick heat or cold based on the route — summer asphalt and a 28°F overnight in the truck are different problems. If your local weather is below 40°F and you skip cold-weather protection, the order is not eligible for a return or replacement.

How Indra actually packs the box — polyfill, cups, exact-plant handling, UPS vs USPS — is on How we ship plants from Easley, SC. This page is the contract.

The Plant Nook Shop is not responsible for lost or delayed shipments from UPS, but we will do our best to come up with a good solution. We pack for a safe delivery, and Overnight shipping is available by request. If the forecast on your end looks brutal, wait. A heat pack is not a polar-vortex waiver.

Damage claims and returns: damage claims are covered only on orders shipped Overnight (available by request through our contact page), not on orders shipped 2 Day Air or Ground. Covered damage must be reported within 48 hours of delivery with an unboxing video, tissue culture plants are sold as is, and shipping costs are non-refundable. The full rules, including lost or delayed packages, the 40°F rule, and wholesale orders, are in our Damage Claims & Returns Policy.
