This listing is for the exact Alocasia reginula 'Black Velvet' Gold Variegated #30 shown in the photo, taken 10/6/2026. You get the one pictured, not a similar plant.

Alocasia reginula 'Black Velvet' Gold Variegated is a rare collector form of the classic jewel Alocasia. Its thick, dark, velvety leaves with silvery veins are splashed with gold variegation, and every leaf pattern is one of a kind. This is a mature, corming and flowering-size plant: corms are visible at the base and the plant is showing a flower bud. Corming size makes it a strong choice for collectors who want to propagate.

Care basics

• Bright, indirect light. Protect the gold variegated tissue from harsh direct sun.
• A chunky, well-draining aroid mix. Let the top inch dry between waterings; Black Velvet dislikes soggy soil.
• Warm temperatures (65-85°F) and moderate to high humidity.
