All corms come from our personal mother plants, we do not purchase corms from plants we do not own. If you would like a picture of the mother plant (if not already shown) please send us a message and we will send it to you.
If you are looking for a plant that brings a perfect splash of elegant color and tropical flair, the Alocasia Morocco is a magnificent addition to your collection. This highly coveted jewel variety is famous for its smooth, dark green arrowhead leaves that are accented by stunning, bright white or silvery veins running across the surface. The real magic happens right at the base, where the glossy foliage stands atop beautiful, contrasting pink stems. It stays perfectly sized for table displays and bright shelves, giving you that high-end, exotic look without taking over your entire room.
Growing your own rare aroid from corms is one of the most rewarding parts of being a plant parent. You get to watch life sprout from tiny little bulbs and know that you raised a spectacular collector piece completely from scratch.
Sprouting corms is incredibly easy when you give them the right balance of moisture and warmth. Follow this proven method to wake up your Morocco corms:
Look at the outer brown, papery skin of the corms. You can use your fingernail to very gently peel away some of this dark outer layer to reveal the fresh, light green or white tissue underneath. This helps water penetrate faster, though it is not strictly required if you prefer to leave them natural.
We highly recommend using the shallow water method or damp sphagnum moss. For shallow water, place the corms right-side up (the pointy end faces up, the flat root end faces down) in a tiny bottle cap or shallow dish. Add just enough lukewarm water to cover the bottom half of the corms. Do not submerge the tips.
Place your shallow container inside a clear plastic cup, a sealed propagation box, or a simple zip-top bag. This locks in 100% humidity, which acts like a security blanket that tells the corms it is safe to wake up and grow.
Place your propagation setup under a bright grow light or in a warm window with plenty of indirect light. Keep the temperature consistently warm between 70°F and 85°F. Using a seedling heat mat underneath your container will drastically speed up the sprouting process.
If you are using the water method, change the water every few days to keep it clean and prevent bacteria. Give the container a quick blast of fresh air once a day, then seal it back up. Within a few weeks, you will see fuzzy white roots burst from the bottom and a beautiful little green spike push through the top.
All corms come from our own personal mother plants and we do not purchase 3rd party corms from plants that are not our own. Because we grow these exclusively in-house from our private collection, our stock is highly exclusive and strictly limited.
The photo is just an example, you will get a random corm, size and shape as in the photo. Of course we will choose the best corms for you, healthy corms are our priority. The size of the corms can be larger or smaller depending on the available stock.
