Who grows these plants
Indra grows them. That is not a marketing name on a “meet the founder” slide — collectors on Palmstreet mention her by name because she is the one in the lives, the one answering messages, and the one packing the box. Sonya’s review said it plainly: “Indra is amazing and has the most gorgeous plants.” Laura_planties called out the same thing from a different angle: you can see how loved the collection is during the lives, and plants arrive with real roots, not a hope and a plug.
We are not a rotating cast of warehouse pickers. When you bid a plant on Palmstreet or checkout an exact plant on this site, you are buying from the people who actually grow it.
The greenhouse in Easley
Everything ships out of Easley, SC. Inside the greenhouse the plants sit under high-output T5 LED, 75–80°F, and 70–90% humidity — the same environment described on our Alocasia lander, because that is how we actually run the house. That is why a freshly shipped jewel Alocasia or velvet Anthurium can look dramatic on day one and still need a two-week bridge in your home: it left a wet, bright, stable room and entered a cardboard box.
We started in 2022. The shop is still a greenhouse-first operation. If you want a big-box “tropical assortment,” this is the wrong URL.
How plants get selected
Collector plants here are not a random grab from a wholesale pallet. Exact plants are photographed as individuals. Growers choice is the same variety, picked from stock we are willing to put our name on — not a lottery ticket, and not the photographed specimen. Tissue culture is a starter, priced like a starter. Corms, when we have them, come off our own mother plants, not anonymous third-party bulbs.

How we pack
ChristinaLahaina described it better than a packing diagram: polyfill on the leaves, cups so the plant cannot rattle. Varleafy.obsession said the box arrived “beautifully and in absolutely perfect condition.” We still offer optional insulation (+$5) and insulation with a cold or heat pack (+$9), because South Carolina weather and your weather are not the same week.
